Ex-Man Utd player slams ‘poor’ attacker who offers ‘nothing but goals’ and ‘disappointing’ flop

Man Utd star slammed by pundit

Paul Parker has slammed Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho ahead of Man Utd’s Premier League game against Brighton on Thursday night.

Rashford has been one of United’s best players this season. His superb form has come after he was heavily linked with French giants PSG during last summer’s transfer window.

The England international has grabbed 29 goals and 11 assists in 51 outings across all competitions as he enjoyed his best season to date on a personal level.

Despite this, he has consistently been criticised by Parker, who appears to have a vendetta against Rashford for some reason. Back in February, the pundit argued that the 25-year-old is “not good enough” to start for England.

Now Parker has hit out at Rashford while discussing United’s upcoming game against Brighton. The ex-United player thinks the forward “has been poor” of late.

“If you look at it, you would take Brighton’s front three all day long in front of Man Utd’s. They are more exciting, they have a better end product, they create more chances and they cause more problems for the opponents than Man Utd’s front three. That’s a fact,” Parker told BonusCodeBets.

“You can talk about Rashford’s goals but that’s all you can talk about. He is nothing else than that and there is nothing else to build on to be perfectly honest. He has been poor for a side that is going to be in the Champions League spot. It tells you a lot about his weaknesses.

“Everyone around Man United must have a lot of confidence now because they have to think about how much they can improve with a good front three. They have been able to almost secure a Champions League spot, so there is a lot to build on when they are going to improve in that area.”

Parker also thinks Sancho has “been very disappointing” and United’s attacking players are not “consistent” enough.

“There is no consistency from the front three. Antony has been the most consistent player. His end product has been poor but everything else about him has been consistent. He is working hard, he is tracking back and he never disappears during a game,” Parker added.

“Sancho has been very disappointing. Rashford is nothing but goals. The thing is as well that if you rely on one player to score goals, you won’t win a league title.

“Yes, Man City has Erling Haaland but they have other players that can score goals as well. Great teams are able to spread their goals between more players.”
