Mohammed Kudus reportedly wants to leave Ajax in the summer and could be reunited with Erik ten Hag with Manchester United ‘tracking’ the winger.

Ghanaian international Kudus has been electric for the Eredivisie giants this season, scoring 11 times in 29 league matches.

He has 22 goals in 48 games for club and country in 2022/23 and has been linked with a move to the Premier League for quite some time.

Kudus joined Ajax from Danish side Nordsjaelland for €9million in July 2020 and has made 83 appearances for his current club, providing 33 goal contributions in the process.

The 22-year-old also had a stellar World Cup campaign with Ghana but could not help them get out of their group ahead of Portugal or South Korea.

Kudus was brought to Ajax by Erik ten Hag, who left the Dutch outfit for Manchester United last year.

The Red Devils have been linked with the young winger ever since Ten Hag relocated to sunny Manchester, which is no surprise given the fact he has already brought Lisandro Martinez and Antony with him.

Edson Alvarez and Jurrien Timber are two other Ajax stars constantly being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

A new striker is definitely Ten Hag’s priority ahead of the summer transfer window, but he will need to bring in another two or three players, there is no doubt about that.

Kudus is a versatile forward who can play on either flank and through the middle as a No. 9 or No. 10.

And according to The Athletic, United are ‘tracking’ the Ajax star, who wants to move clubs in the summer.

The report states that Kudus is ‘being considered by multiple suitors’ after making Ajax ‘aware of his intention to exit once the window opens on June 10′.

The Dutch club do not like their players entering the final two years of their contract and Kudus’ current deal expires in 2025.

They offered the player a one-year extension in April, which was rejected, meaning they will be open to letting him leave when the 22/23 campaign comes to an end.

Ajax will ask for £40m, which could be increased depending on ‘which teams are in for him’, the report adds.

Those ‘tracking’ Kudus are the Red Devils, Arsenal and Newcastle United but the Ghanaian international is ‘admired’ by a host of clubs.
