Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez celebrates qualifying for the Champions League final

Inter are planning to ‘demand’ a £69.5million fee for Lautaro Martinez this summer amidst interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Martinez has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League for quite some time now.

He joined Inter from Racing Club for €25m (£21.7m) in 2018 and has won a Serie A title and Italian Cup during his time at the San Siro.

The Argentine international has scored an impressive 78 goals and provided 25 assists in 170 Serie A appearances and has an impressive 35 goal contributions across 52 matches in all competitions this season.

A lot of the build-up to the Champions League final City will be about the threat Martinez poses for his side and Inter will need their striker to be at his best for the match against Manchester City.

After the showcase final in Istanbul, Inter are expected to receive plenty of enquiries about the availability of the 25-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United and Chelsea are in dire need of a new striker and it is no surprise whatsoever to see Martinez linked with them.

Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked over the last few years and should Harry Kane leave the latter, they might decide to reignite their interest, although they will not be able to offer the player Champions League football.

A recent report from InterLive stated that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is willing to ‘do everything’ to win the race for Martinez in the summer.

And Football Insider have also claimed that Martinez ‘wants to move to the Premier League’.

The same outlet now say a bid of £69.5m should be enough to land the Argentine World Cup winner.

Inter will ‘demand’ that fee for ‘the Chelsea and United target’ with both Premier League clubs ‘eyeing a move’ for Martinez due to their need for a ‘proven goalscorer’.

Chelsea are close to announcing the appointment of ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager and Football Insider say he wants to make his compatriot one of his first signings of the summer transfer window.

Pochettino is apparently a ‘huge fan’ of Martinez and a new striker is thought to be ‘one of the priorities’ for the Blues.

As well as Martinez, Chelsea are interested in Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
