Premier League most chances created: ‘Striker’s dream’ Bruno Fernandes is ahead

Will Ford

Here are the Premier League players to have created the most chances this season.

Bruno Fernandes has created 120 chances in his last four Manchester United games as he tries to keep them in fourth.

We’ve included the chances created in total as well as the per 90 in brackets to separate the ties. Thanks to Fotmob for the stats.

1) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United): 112 (3.2)
“His quality of his balls into the box – if you’re a striker it’s a dream, you make some runs and he picks you out,” said Roy Keane. He absolutely does. Only eight assists shows that the strikers have not been good enough.

2) Kieran Trippier (Newcastle): 110 (3.0)
A first assist in nine v Brighton but seven assists in total seems a little meagre from all those chances created.

3) Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City): 97 (3.7)
No longer the chances created king but his 16 assists put him five clear of Bukayo Saka in second. And miles clear here of…

4) Pascal Gross (Brighton): 74 (2.2)
The German really has been a phenomenal signing and is somehow only 31. Long may he continue to be quietly brilliant and create a ludicrous number of chances for Brighton.

5) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): 74 (2.1)
The first Premier League player this season to log double figures for both Premier League goals and assists but he looks tired now.

6) James Ward-Prowse (Southampton): 74 (2.0)
He cold not keep the Saints in the Premier League on his own.

7) Martin Odegaard (Arsenal): 73 (2.1)
The creative leader behind Arsenal’s title tilt, before he was thoroughly put in his place against Manchester City. And he was rotten v Nottingham Forest.

8) James Maddison (Leicester City): 68 (2.6)
Leicester City really would be f***ed without him. They are kind of f***ed with him.

9) Solly March (Brighton): 67 (2.2)
Reduced to a substitute’s role as a long season has caught up with his legs, but still created six chances in two sub appearances v Manchester United and Everton.

10) Trent Alexander-Arnold: 67 (2.1)
Alexander-Arnold 2.0 is loving his new role, with six assists in his last nine games after just two in his first 29 this season.
