We have a few transfer tidbits for any Manchester United supporters still with us after shipping seven at Anfield, while three Prem clubs are set to scrap it out for an in-demand defender…

ENGLAND DUO ON MAN UTD LIST
Many Manchester United fans will still have their phones turned off and will continue to swerve the internet for another day or two at least after their seven-goal humping at Liverpool. For the masochists who’ve stuck around, we bring you a few whispers on the Red Devils’ striker search…

Apparently, United have a shortlist of four forwards for the summer. Football Insider reckons Victor Osimhen’s name is at the top, followed by Harry Kane, Tammy Abraham and Benjamin Sesko.

Osimhen could move at the end of the season after Napoli wrap up the Serie A title, assuming they don’t suffer a catastrophic collapse, but he won’t come cheap. Nor would Kane, even if Tottenham fail to convince him to sign a new contract before the window opens. Sesko is due to join RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg, leaving Abraham as perhaps the most attainable target.

But, as The Athletic reports, the England striker would cost a pretty penny too, even if he would be cheaper than Osimhen. Chelsea have a buy-back option worth around £70.8million and Roma would be loathe to sell for less.

PREM TRIO TARGET GVARDIOL
The path for Chelsea is rather more cluttered when it comes to Josko Gvardiol.

Having failed to wrap up a deal for the 21-year-old last summer, Calciomercato reckons the Blues face competition from Chelsea for the RB Leipzig centre-back, whose stock has soared following an impressive World Cup campaign with Croatia.

Sport says Manchester City are also sniffing around Gvardiol, with the Premier League champions willing to sell Aymeric Laporte to fund any move. Should Laporte be made available, both Barcelona and Real Madrid would be interested.

NEWCASTLE EYE DUO TO TEAM UP WITH BRUNO
As Newcastle’s season stalls, attention is already turning to the summer, with the Magpies determined to strengthen while holding what they have.

Tying Bruno Guimaraes to a new contract to fend off interest from Real Madrid is among their priorities, says Football Insider. The Brazilian is said to be among Real’s alternative target should they fail to land Jude Bellingham.

The Magpies want to build their midfield around Bruno, with James Maddison and Scott McTominay still wanted by Eddie Howe. Newcastle have failed with offers for Leicester star Maddison in the past, while McTominay is set to be one of around half a dozen players to be made available by Manchester United in the summer.
